Zilda Thibodeaux

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Zilda Guidry Thibodeaux, 92, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Thibodeaux died on her birthday, Tuesday, December 9, 2008, at 11:20 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Thibodeaux was a native of Lake Arthur and resident of Jennings for the last 12 years. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh. She was very dedicated to her husband, Elton Thibodeaux and her children. Survivors include three daughters, Margie Campisi of Abbeville, Idell Hewitt of Sulphur; and Isabelle Thibodeaux of Colfax and special daughter Ann Campbell of Colfax; three sons, Clyde Thibodeaux of Welsh, Wallace Thibodeaux and wife Gale of Brusly and Emery Thibodeaux of Stoneville, NC; one sister, Leola Dupuis of Sulphur, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and two special people Lenora Cox and Lenzie Dupuis. She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Elia Andrus Guidry; her husband, Elton Joseph Thibodeaux; one daughter, Rena Fresk and three sons, Percy Thibodeaux, Felix Thibodeaux and David (Skipper) Thibodeaux. Pallbearers will be Clyde Thibodeaux, Wallace Thibodeaux,Emery Thibodeaux,Bryan Thibodeaux,Lenny Dupuis and Sam David Campisi. Honorary Pallbearers will be Isabelle Thibodeaux, Ann Campbell and Sheryl Fresk.
