Zelda Marie Lavergne Doucet

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Zelda Doucet, 56, of Jennings will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Hathaway with Rev. Bill Miller officiating.  Graveside committal will be in St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery in Lawtell, LA at 1:30 p.m.

Visitation for Mrs. Doucet will begin on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. and close at 8:00 p.m.  A rosary led by Deacon Mike Tramel will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 9:15 a.m. to travel to church.

Mrs. Doucet was born on January 12, 1967, in Lawtell to Freddie Lavergne and Lena Bertrand.  She worked in the healthcare industry as an administrative assistant.  She lived in the Jennings area most of her life.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Daniel Doucet, Sr.; children, Heather (Daniel) Lavergne of Gueydan, Shannon Doucet, and Jeremy (Christel) Doucet; grandchildren, Darcy, Evan, Cate, and CeeCee and great grandchildren, Aiden and Jordyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Dusty Doucet.
