Zeda Anna Carruth

Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mrs. Zeda Anna Conner Carruth, 86, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Dartez officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Mrs. Carruth died at her residence on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 4:50 p.m. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a graduate of Lake Arthur High Class of 1940. She worked as a clerk in retail sales and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary #3244 of Lake Arthur, American Legion Post 403, Life member of both the VFW and the American Legion and was the Cancer Aide Chairperson for Lake Arthur VFW. Mrs. Carruth is survived by her two granddaughters; Mrs. Jason (Annette) LeJeune of Roanoke and Mrs. Phillip (Angela) Liechty of Moss Bluff, a grandson; Gary Swire of Lake Arthur, seven great grandchildren; Sharon Michelle Bell, Sierra Gary, Candace Morvant, Ethan Morvant, Casey Liechty, Mya Touchet and Anna Swire, a niece; Judy Hargrave of Lake Arthur, a nephew; Arthur Davis of Houston, TX. and special friends; Mark and Julia Touchet and Anna and Albert Guidry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Carruth, her parents, Jules and Anna Trahan Conner, a son, Eldridge Swire, a daughter-in-law, Joyce Swire, two brothers, Dave Conner and Lloyd Conner and three sisters, Margaret Davis, Alice Buchanan and Lena LeBeuf. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, Memphis, TN.
