Yolande G. Fontenot

Funeral services for Mrs. Yolande Fontenot, 90 of Jennings will be held in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Brother Phil Doucet officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Fontenot will begin on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m.  It will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning and continue until the 11:00 a.m. service.

Mrs. Fontenot was born to Leon and Leoncia LeBlanc Grimes on June 8, 1931 in Lake Arthur, LA.  She was a high school graduate and worked many years in retail sales.  Mrs. Fontenot also served in Jennings as the Commissioner of Elections.  She was a faithful member of the First Church of Christ.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving son, Robin Fontenot of Jennings and grandson, Rene’ N. Fontenot.

Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, LeRoy Fontenot and her parents.
