Winnie Rose Suire

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Winnie Rose Marceaux Suire, 90, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in the Shell Beach Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:45 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Suire died at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Suire was a lifelong resident of the Gueydan/Lake Arthur area and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. She loved to clean house, spend time with her family and talk about the good old days. Survivors include two daughters, Lois Spence of Abbeville, Emma Benoit of Lake Arthur; one son, Milton Murphy Conner and wife Mary of Gueydan; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild. Mrs. Suire is preceded in death by her parents, Francis Drozin and Nola Marie LeBlanc Marceaux; husbands, John Suire and Murphy Conner; son Nealis Broussard and one step-daughter, Virgie Hebert.
