Funeral services for Mr. Wilton “T-Bab” Babineaux, 82, will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Babineaux died peacefully at 10:07 p.m. in his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Babineaux was a lifelong resident of Jennings and retired as a petrochemical operator. He was a wonderful father and did an awesome job raising his children. He liked to tinker with many things. He played the fiddle for over 40 years and was a member of the Cajun French Music Association. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church where he served as Lector.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn Jane Deshotel Babineaux of Jennings; one daughter, Sonya Babineaux of Jennings; five sons, Kade (Dorothy) Babineaux of Lafayette, Arthur (Laura) Babineaux of Lake Charles, Alan (Priscilla) Babineaux of Jennings, Darius (Amy) Babineaux of Welsh, Murnel Babineaux of Mandeville; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Estalia Fruge Babineaux; two sisters, Della Gilbert and Loretta Babineaux; and two brothers, Charlie and Wilson Babineaux.

Pallbearers will be Nicholas, Spencer and Jared Babineaux, Drew Hoffpauir, Patrick and Bryce Benoit.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bryan Benoit, Hunner Leblanc and Dakota Dupre’.
