Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Boudreaux LaFargue, 95, of Jennings will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Keith Pellerin officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. LaFargue will begin Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. at Miguez Funeral Home and continue until 1:30 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. LaFargue was born in Crowley on March 27, 1926.  She worked at Jeff Davis Bank for many years as a teller.  She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sister, Jane Pierson of Jennings; four grandchildren, Jacquelyn Nixon, Clay LaFargue, Candace Long and Robert LaFargue; thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lois LaFargue; nieces, Tricia (Brad) LeGros, Jace’ Pierson and Sherrill Benoit; nephews, William Faulk, Robert Pierson and Brian Floyd and several Great Nieces and Nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd LaFargue and her son, Larry LaFargue and two sisters, Dorothy Faulk, and Verdie “Pitt” Floyd.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Jefferson Davis Living Center and Mrs. LaFargue’s primary caregivers, Pam Steiner, Sharlene Young, Corice Kilmer and Sherry Gatte.

Memorials in Mrs. LaFargue’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
