Jennings
William Henry “Bubba” Evans, 81, passed away at his home in Jennings on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 10:04 p.m.
Services for Mr. Evans will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Pellerin officiating. A private burial will follow under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., July 3 and will end at service time. A Rosary will be recited at 2:30 PM.
William was born September 19, 1938 in Jennings, LA. He graduated from St. Stanilaus College Prep School in Bay St. Louis, MS and went on to attend Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
He retired from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department and was also a former Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agent. William’s passions were hunting and listening to Cajun music.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Susan (Krielow) Evans; three sons, Edwin Earl (Karen) of Molino, FL, John Stephen (Hollie) of Jennings, and Samuel Eric (Melanie) of Lake Charles; seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Melanie Broadhurst of Conroe, TX and Earline (Warner) Angell of Jennings, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Earl B. and Henrietta (Houssiere) Evans of Jennings.
