William "Bill" C Campbell

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. William C. Bill Campbell, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2012 in the First Baptist Church with Brothers Dorey Langley, Brian Wells and Jimmy White officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Honors will be in Green Oak Cemetery in Kinder under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., today, Monday; and from the church from 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of services. Mr. Campbell died at 9:00 p.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a native of Pine Prairie and a resident of Jennings 45 years. He attended college for two years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his wife, Ann Lyons Campbell of Jennings; two daughters, Stephanie Langley and husband Andy of Kinder, Carolyn Kilburn and husband Tim of Jennings; two step-daughters, Leslie Lessard and husband Lance of Jennings, Amy Deville and husband Greg of Jennings; one son, Stephen Campbell and wife Roxane of Mittie; one step-son, Austin Whelchel of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren, Summer Leger and husband Paul of Jennings, Marcie Deville of Mittie, Stevie Perkins and husband Ike of Kinder, Amanda Courville and husband Jake of Kinder, Austin Langley of Baton Rouge, Luke Langley of Baton Rouge, Courtney Bergeaux and husband Jeremy of Eunice, Danielle Kibodeaux and husband T-Paul of Jennings, Justin Kilburn and wife Faith of Lafayette; seven step-grandchildren, Isabelle Deville of Jennings, Mason Deville of Jennings, Elijah Deville of Jennings, Michael Whelchel of Kansas, Kaylin Wirtz of Jennings, Payton Lessard of Jennings, Drew Lassard of Jennings and 10 great-grandchildren. Mr. Campbell is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Bessie West Campbell; his first wife, Juanita Vining Campbell; two sisters, Emma Murrell and Bonnie Crawford; and one brother, Hardy Campbell. Pallbearers will be Austin Langley, Luke Langley, Justin Kilburn, Austin Whelchel, Greg Deville and Lance Lessard. Donations may be made to Heart of Hospice, Lake Charles or the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home of Jennings.
