Willard Louis Sonnier

Lake Arthur Willard Sonnier was born on May 25, 1952 in Lake Arthur, LA. He lived a great life, loving God, family, and all his friends. Willard was a retired employee of Conoco Phillips. There wasn’t a day that went by when Willard didn’t make people smile. His numerous nieces and nephews looked forward to the wonderful laughing times together. He will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Pastor Tommy Faulk officiating. Funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Willard is survived by his companion April Jones of Lake Arthur; his two daughters, Dawn Sonnier, and Chasity Sonnier Bland and husband Jason Bland; his grandchildren; Colby LaCour, Coy and Cameron Broussard, Hunter and Alex Milner, Emma Hanks, and Hunter and Ashlyn Bland. Willard Sonnier is also survived by two sisters; Ella Mae(Sonnier) Hebert and Lovess and Joyce (Sonnier) Broussard and Nelson, three brothers; Ruston Sonnier and Helen, Eugene Sonnier and Etta and Irvin Sonnier. Willard Sonnier was preceded in death by his parents, Joachim and Olite (Benoit) Sonnier, brothers, John Lawford, Lester, and Warren Sonnier; sisters: Mabel , Clara Mae, Clara Belle, Theresa “Russie” (Sonnier) Vincent, Elgene Sonnier, and Wanda (Sonnier) Mallet. Pall Bearers attending will be Hunter Milner, Colby LaCour, Coy Broussard, Steve Vincent, David Sonnier and Cleveland Vincent. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Clint Sonnier and Curtis Sonnier.
