Whitney Meche

Funeral services for Mr. Whitney Meche, 88, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Koopman officiating.

Burial with military graveside honors will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

Mr. Meche died at 7:25 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the Rehabilitation Hospital of Jennings.

Mr. Meche was a lifelong resident of Jennings and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a retired welder in the ship yard.

Survivors include his wife, Beulah Britt Meche of Jennings; two sons, Michael (Clarice) Meche of Evangeline and Jeffery Meche of Jennings; one sister, Vernice Seymour of Beaumont, TX, one brother, Clifford Meche of Duson; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Oneal and Lorena Royer Meche; two sisters, Winnie Landry and Odess Zycha; and two brothers, Ernest Meche and Wedess Meche.

Pallbearers will be Clifford, Blake, Justin, Damond, Kendall and Brent Meche.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Gavin Dupuis and Logan Meche.
