Monday evening, November 7th, 2022, Wendy Marie Trahan slipped from the arms of her loving family and into those of her Lord and Savior.
Wendy, the much-loved daughter of Judith Cooper and the deceased Rev. Wayne Cooper, was a vibrant woman who wore her laughter as freely as her smile. A lasting gift she imparted to all who had the privilege of crossing her path and one not soon to be forgotten by those who love her still. Her wit was forever quick, and her consideration of all was constant. She never knew a stranger nor shied from uplifting and doing for those in need. She was an avid lover of music (her favorite artist, the late Prince) and horror movies (the more gore, the better!). Her greatest passion (one she shared with her family time and again) was football, and she was eternally a proud LSU and Saints fan!
Wendy was married to her husband, Chuck Trahan, for thirty-six years. Despite the ups and downs between the two, they weathered many a storm together, finding peace and loving one another through every difficulty they shared during all their years. God blessed their union with their beautiful daughter, Meghan. She grew into the same firm resolve as her mother, making her proud every day with her accomplishments, especially in becoming a mother herself, giving way to Wendy’s greatest joy and gift, her grandson, Braxton (aka Tootie/Monkey).
Wendy will always be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and hilarious manner. A colorful character who leaves the world of her loved ones a little dimmer for her departure.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Chuck Trahan; Mother, Judith Cooper; Daughter, Meghan Trahan; Grandson, Braxton Wilson of Jennings, LA; Brother, Neal Cooper of Atlanta, Texas; Niece, Kaycie Kile, and Nephew, Nathan Cooper of Winnfield, LA.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Wayne Cooper.
