Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Wayne ONeal Cooper, 73 will be held Saturday, August 27, 2011 in the Roanoke Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Bill Armstrong, Brother Darrell Hieronymus and Allen Stackhouse officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be held held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Saturday visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service. Mr. Cooper was a native of Bogalusa, La. and resided in Jennings for the past nineteen years. He attended Roanoke Baptist Church and was a Navy veteran. Mr. Cooper received his P.H.D. from LSU and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He served the Lord for 40 years and was a retired Baptist minister. He is survived by his wife; Judy Kay Cooper of Jennings, a daughter; Wendy C. Trahan and spouse Chuck of Jennings, a son: Neal D. Cooper of Atlanta, TX., two sisters-in-law; Jan Martin and spouse Brent of Brusly, LA. and Mrs. Carolyn Cooper of Baton Rouge, three grandchildren; Meghan Trahan, Kaycie Cooper, Nathan Cooper and their mother, Mandi Cooper, numerous nieces and nephews and his little canine companion; Copper Cooper. Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his father; Elton ONeal, his mother; Maude Creel Adams, his step-father; Alton Adams, sister; Jean Beaird and brother; Larry Cooper.
