Wayne Knowles

Mr. Gerald “Wayne” Knowles passed away peacefully in his home on August 18, 2021. He was born March 13, 1948, to the late L.P. and Nell Knowles.

Mr. Wayne was a resident of Welsh, Louisiana for 24 years after moving here from Brunswick, Georgia. Wayne and the love of his life, Karen, were married August 27, 1971. He enjoyed woodworking, photography, and Camaros. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. He was a registered nurse in the medical field which he loved. He went to join his eternal sweetheart just in time for their 50^th anniversary. 

He is survived by his daughter, Amber (Neil) Elwood of Lehi, Utah; sister Brenda Johns of Jesup, Georgia; and his beautiful grandchildren, Emily, Matthew, Ashley, Isaac, and Jonathan Elwood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife Karen Knowles.

The family is respecting his wishes with cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
