Wayne Isaac Marcantel

Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Isaac Marcantel, 74, lifelong resident of Elton, will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Nichols officiating.  Burial will be in the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Marcantel will begin on Tuesday evening, August 31, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m.  It will resume on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the 10:00 a.m. service.

Mr. Marcantel was born in Jennings on December 23, 1946 to parents, Isaac Leroy and Bertha Marie Bruchhaus Marcantel.  He passed away peacefully on August 26, 2021 in Houston, Texas. 

After his high school graduation from Elton High School in 1964, Mr. Marcantel served his country honorably in the Army during Vietnam.  He came home and began his life as a farmer.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Lettie Kenvyn Marcantel of Elton; daughters, Lisa Marcantel (Getano) Clement, Kristine Marcantel (Scooter) Dronet, Rebecca Jo Marcantel (Yody) Aucoin, Katy Marcantel (Jordan) Shirley, Kim (Kenny) Thibodeaux and Amanda Carrier; son, Jeremy “J.J.” (Leigh-Anne) Fuselier; very special nephew Christopher “Topher” Linscomb; sister, Virginia “Tillie” Linscomb; brother, Robert “Bob” (Cathy) Marcantel; twenty-two grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren Keagan Regan and Noelle Fuselier.
