JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Bivens, 64, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2009 in the Living Word Assembly of God with Rev. Mitchell Gotte officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday and 8:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services. Mr. Bivens died at 3:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Bivens was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of the Jennings High School class of 1964. He was a gauger in the oil and gas industry and a member of Living Word Assembly of God, Jennings. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and helping others. Survivors include his wife, Irma Faye LeJeune Bivens of Jennings; three daughters, Lisa Clement and husband Eric of Jennings, Angela Davis and husband Elvin of Iota, Kandy Benoit and husband Joshua Shane of Jennings; one son, Seth Ryan Bivens of Jennings; one sister, Nancy Gillette of DeRidder; four grandsons, Jacob Brock Bivens, Keagan Jace Simon, Cameron Bryce Benoit and Christian Ross Clement all of Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvelle Bill and Bobbi Vandegriff Bivens; one sister, Paulette Bivens; his aunt and uncle, James Jack and Naomi Nay Bivens and his brother-in-law/best friend, Earl Gillette, Sr. Pallbearers will be Jacob Bivens, Keagan Simon, Mike Guidry, Scott Sensat, Jerry Bonin and Joseph Gillette. Honorary Pallbearer will be Willie Bonin.
