Wanda Stutes Courville

Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Stutes Courville, 77, of Jennings will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Tadlock officiating.  Burial will follow in Istre Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Courville will begin on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. and continue until the 2:00 p.m. service.

Mrs. Courville was born on February 9, 1945, in Jennings to Elie and Annalee Breaux Stutes.  She was a graduate of Jennings High School.  She was faithful and true to her Lord and Savior and was a member of Bethel Church in Jennings.  She loved her family, and loved taking care of people, often cooking and baking for them.  She also enjoyed playing cards and Bingo.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Roland Courville, Sr.; daughters, Tina Savoie Allen of Jennings, and Aundrea Saide of Texas; sons, Timothy (Dawn) Savoie of Iowa, JayAllen (Teresa) Savoie and David Savoie, both of Jennings and Roland Courville, Jr. of Texas; sixteen grandchildren and thirty-seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Darren Savoie; sister, Betty Joyce Benoit; two brothers, Jessie Stutes and Elie Stutes; three granddaughters, Victoria, Gabriella and Angel and one grandson, Dawson.
