Wallace Joseph Blanchard

Funeral services for Mr. Wallace Joseph Blanchard will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.  Burial will follow in Sensat Cemetery in Egan under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Blanchard will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning, June 25, and continue until time of service.

Mr. Blanchard was a lifelong resident of this area and worked as a commercial electrician.  He loved to BBQ and often did for his friends and family.  He loved to garden and taking care of his orange trees was a priority. He served his country admirably as a Marine in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his son, Jimmy (Joyce) Moss of Hathaway; two sisters, Vivian Trahan and Ruth Duhon, both of Jennings; and two grandchildren, Chad Royer and Wallace Moss; four great grandchildren, Madison Moss, Morgan Kershaw, Dillon Royer and Ashton Royer; one great-great grandson, Benjamin Breaux and his best friend, Albert Kibodeaux.

Loved ones preceding him in death were his wife, Leona LeJeune Blanchard; parents, Claude Blanchard and Ola Marie Fontenot; granddaughter, Jamie Moss; and two sisters, Carrie LeJeune and Bernice Trahan.
