Wallace John Dupont, Jr.

JENNINGS

Funeral services for Mr. Wallace John Dupont, Jr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday. September 11, 2020 at St. Jules Catholic Church with Father Paul Lafleur officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will be in the St. Jules Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Dupont was a native of Jennings. He retired from Dynergy after many years of service.  He served his community faithfully as a member of the Evangeline Volunteer Fire Dept.  He loved NASCAR, boiling crawfish, going to the casino, being outdoors, fishing and most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna “Peanut” Begnaud (Shirley) McCrea of Crowley; his two sons and their fiancées, Raymond Dupont and Stacy Sonnier of Jennings and Jody Dupont and Nicole Arceneaux of Scott, LA;  sister, Brenda Dupont, brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Christine Dupont, Craig Dupont of Iota, Terry and Jeanette Dupont of Evangeline and grandchildren, Jacob Mendoza, Victoria Menard, Christopher Dupont, Kameron Carrier and Mateo Garcia.

Chosen to serve as pallbearers are Terry, JJ, Trevor, Craig Dupont and Malcolm Pete, Mike and Ronnie Cormier and Bobby Bouffine.

Mr. Dupont is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace “Doc” and Laura Doucet Dupont, sisters Betty Dupont and Sandra Pete and brothers, Richard and Wallace G Dupont.
