Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Blanchard Trahan, 83 of Jennings, will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings with Rev. Trey Ange officiating. Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 5 at 9:30 a.m. and will end at 1:00 p.m. service time. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.
Claude and Ola Fontenot Blanchard welcomed Vivian to the family on September 19, 1938. She was born in Jennings, Louisiana. She was a high school graduate and worked as a cook in the Diocese of Lake Charles. She loved making bread and donuts, playing bingo and her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Blake (Inell) Trahan of Destrahan, Chris Trahan of Jennings and Tommy Trahan of Houston, Texas; one sister, Ruth (Hilliard) Duhon of Jennings; grandchildren, Dustin, Dominic and Payton Trahan, Amy Baker and Keith Grubbs; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leazey James Trahan; two sisters, Carrie LeJeune and Bernice Trahan and a brother Wallace Blanchard.
