Viola Landry LeJeune passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020 peacefully in her sleep.  Her friends and family will miss her deeply.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Viola Landry was born in Andrew, LA in 1932 to Venice and Lydia Abshire Landry.  

She married her husband of 55 years, Melvin LeJeune, in 1949 and they lived in and around the Jennings for most of their lives.

She was a Eucharistic Minister for over 40 years and loved being a part of the mass.  She visited and volunteered often at Jeff Davis Living Center when her husband was there and for years after his passing. She was a woman of Deep Faith and Strength.

She is survived by her daughter Glenda Worley from Houston, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin LeJeune; her daughter, Deloris LeJeune; her parents, Venice and Lydia Landry; and her brothers, L.J, Vince, Alan and Norman Landry.

The family would like to thank the Jennings American Hospital, Jeff Davis Living Center and Lamm hospice for their care of Viola.
