Valentine "Richard" Young

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Valentine Richard Young, 62, will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, March 21,2009 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Young died at 9:30 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence. Native of Iowa, La he was a resident of Lake Arthur 35 years. He was a retired roustabout in the oil field. Survivors include his wife, Molly Young of Lake Arthur, one daughter, Rachael Young of Wye, LA; three sons, Shane and wife Dacia Young of Hathaway, Jamie Young and Tyler Young both of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Betty Fondren of Memphis, TN and Eve and husband LeRoy Meaux of Jennings; three brothers, Bobby and wife Faye Young of Abbeville, Charles and wife Elaine Young of Jennings, Wilson and wife Marilyn Young of Jennings and nine grandchildren.
