Una Marie Guidry

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Una Guidry, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery. Mrs. Guidry died at 2:35 a.m., Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the Cornerstone Hospital in Sulphur. Mrs. Guidry was born April 4, 1932 in Acadia Parish. She was married to her husband, Mr. Joseph “Lloyd” Guidry for 62 years. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting and her rose garden. She was a member of the Lady Lakers Home Extension and a lifetime member of the VFW Lady’s Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Joseph Guidry of Lowry; three sons, Lloyd “Jr” Guidry and wife Sandra of Gueydan, Darrell Guidry of League City, TX, Bobby Guidry of Richmond, TX; one daughter, Darlene Fontenot and husband Ricky of Vidrine; one sister, Gloria Boudreaux of Lacassine; one half-brother, Andrus Roche of Gueydan; four half-sisters, Theresa Richard of Gueydan, Eula May Breaux of Rayne, Marilyn Fontenot of Gueydan, Dorothy Babineaux of Lafayette; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mrs. Guidry is preceded in death by her parents, Gladue Roche and Tuza Guilliot; brothers, Ophey and John; sisters, Anna, Shirley, Della; one daughter, Charlotte Guidry and two grandsons, Craig Paul and Derrick Joseph Guidry. Pallbearers are Bryon Guidry, Wally Guidry, Jeremy Guidry, Forrest Fontenot, Koby Guidry and Hunter Guidry. Honorary pallbearers are Kim Guidry Neil and Tanya Guidry.
