Tim Douget went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 6, 2020 at the Carpenter House of Baton Rouge.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Jeremy Touchet officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Tim was born April 8, 1952 to Wesley and Marie Trahan Douget. He was a Jennings High School Graduate, Class of 1971 and later proudly served his country in the United States Army for more than 8 years as a Morse Code operator. During his service he became known as “Spyder”, a name which followed him until today. After his service in the Army, Tim moved to Seattle, WA for 32 years where he worked for Flow International Corporation as a mechanic building high pressure water systems. Upon retiring, he returned to his native Louisiana and settled in Iowa, LA seven years ago. Tim was an avid photographer who enjoyed traveling the country on his motorcycle and was a huge NASCAR fan. Tim never met a stranger, and once he met you, you were his friend for life.
Tim is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Debbie; his son, Justin Douget of Seattle, WA; stepson, Aaron Seaux of Iowa, LA; sister, Colette Read of RoSharon, TX; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Larry Douget of Jennings, LA and Tom and Debbie Douget of Jacksonville, FL and four grandchildren, Talaya, Khalil, Jalene and A.J.
Tim is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Marie Trahan Douget; sister, Sherry Poe; brother-in-law, Lane Read and stepdaughter, Allyson Seaux.
