Memorial services for Mr. Thomas Ward Hoyt, 74, of Jennings, will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Rev. Charles Miller officiating.  

Visitation for Mr. Hoyt will begin at 9:00 a.m. and end with the 10:00 a.m. memorial service. The family has respected his wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Mr. Hoyt was born in LeCompte, LA to Clyde Hoyt and Wilma Smith Hoyt on April 7, 1949.  He served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era.  Mr. Hoyt later became and served as a Lutheran pastor in many places during his career.  He moved to the Lake Arthur area in 2019.

Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Rachel Hoyt of Woodridge, IL and Leah Hoyt of New Orleans, LA;  son Jason (Natalie) Hoyt of West Chester, OH and three grandchildren, Solomon, Felicity and Theodore.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Frank Hoyt and Norman Hoyt.
