Thomas J. Prejean

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas J. Prejean, 72, will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 21, 2021, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Mr. Prejean passed away peacefully on Friday, June 18, 2021, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Prejean was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a retired supervisor in the iron industry.  He enjoyed gardening, playing with his grandchildren, his cats and drinking his beer.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Bourgeois Prejean; daughters, Jenny Strahan of Lake Arthur, and Nichol (Jerry) Horton of Hutto, TX; sons, Shawn (Susan) Prejean of Jennings, Shane Prejean of Rayne, LA, Shannon (Vicky) Prejean of Rayne, LA and Shad Moore of Arizona; mother, Ethel Broussard of Rayne, LA. sister, Laura (Dale) Prudhomme of Egan, LA, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Prejean; his stepfather, Sidney Broussard; daughter, Andrea Prejean and granddaughter, Lacey Strahan.
