LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Cleveland Hoffpauir, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22,2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel of Lake Arthur with Rev. David DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mr. Hoffpauir died at 3:22 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mr. Hoffpauir was a lifelong resident of the Gueydan/Lake Arthur area. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a lifetime member of the American Legion. He was the recipient of the Patriot Citizen Award from Lake Arthur Memorial Post 3244. He was an entrepreneur in the oilfield and gas industries, construction and real estate. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Genevieve Conner Hoffpauir; three daughters, Chris Dubard and husband Terry of Iowa, LA, Jackie Weathersby and husband Bill of Homer, LA, Debra Duhon and husband Joey of Lake Arthur; four sons, Thomas Glen Hoffpauir and wife Margo of Bell City, James Hoffpauir of Gueydan, Stephen Hoffpauir and wife Leatha of Bell City, Neal Hoffpauir and wife Dana of Hayes; one sister, Willa Mae Portier of Kaplan; one brother, J.D. “Mickey” Hoffpauir and wife Loretta of Lake Arthur; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Aaron and Rose Benoit Hoffpauir; one sister, Irene Nunez; one brother, J.C. Hoffpauir and one great-granddaughter, Rheagan Shields. Pallbearers will be Cleve Hoffpauir, TJ Hoffpauir, Chance Dubard, Jeremiah Hoffpauir, Alex Hoffpauir and Cameron Hanks. In lieu of flowers the family request donations are made to the United Methodist Church of Lake Arthur, 323 New Orleans Ave., Lake Arthur, LA, 70549 or a charity of your choice.
