Thelma Belle Lejeune

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Thelma Belle Benoit LeJeune, 86, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 4, 2015 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. LeJeune died at 8:35 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2015 in the Memorial Specialty Hospital of Lake Charles. Mrs. LeJeune was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Altar Society, Catholic Daughters and was a Eucharistic Minister, member of the VFW and the Funeral Meal Committee at her church. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda LeJeune of Jennings; three sons, Donald LeJeune and wife Diane of Hathaway, Robert LeJeune and wife Paula and Tommy LeJeune of Jennings, and daughter-in-law, Nora LeJeune of Hathaway; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dupre and Mathilda Landry Benoit; her husband, Jules LeJeune; two sons, Kenneth John LeJeune and Larry C. LeJeune; and one daughter, Gloria Jean LeJeune Sonnier.
