Tessy Guidry Thibodeaux

It is great sadness that we announce the passing of Teresa “Tessy” Guidry Thibodeaux, 54, of Church Point, LA. 

A Mass of Christian Burial for Tessy will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will follow in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Mire, LA., under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Thibodeaux will begin on October 29, 2024, in the Miguez Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. and will close at 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. It will resume Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and will close at 10:15 a.m. for the procession to the church.

Tessy was born on February 1, 1970, in Crowley to parents Andy John and Marie C. Wright Guidry. She worked as a medical billing specialist in the healthcare industry. She loved her family and most enjoyed family time spent with all of them. In fact, her favorite titles were “Mom” and “Nana”. She was kind and loving and will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Raymond Thibodeaux; sons, Josh Clement, Matthew (Miriah) Thibodeaux and Dylan Thibodeaux; sisters Susan Guidry and Myra (Billy) Hebert; brothers, Darryll (Genia) Guidry and Burton (Jackie) Guidry; grandchildren, Olivia Thibodeaux and Helen Thibodeaux; godchild, Heather (Billy) Hebert and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her father and mother-in-law, Darrel and Theresa Thibodeaux; her brothers, Bobby Guidry and Kenny (Christine) Guidry; and a godchild Andrew Guidry.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette for the wonderful care and compassion given to our beloved Tessy.

Carrying her to her final place of rest will be Matthew Thibodeaux, Kirk LeBlanc, Jared Craigen, Jon-Michael Guidry, Noah Hebert and Billy Spears.
