Terry Allen Deshotel

Funeral services for Mr. Terry Deshotel, 67, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 21, 2009 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Deshotel died at 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Deshotel was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a retired automobile mechanic for the Chevrolet dealership here in Jennings. He served in the U.S. Army for three years. He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church where he served as usher for many years Survivors include his wife, Martha Romero Deshotel of Jennings, his children, Linda and husband Hans Nielsen of Germany, Randy and wife Darla Deshotel of Sulphur, Buddy and wife Miranda Bouley of Jennings, Sherry and husband Chris Verrett of Orange, TX and his grandchildren, Christopher Neal (Landry), Ashley R. Verrett, Franziska Nielson, Nicole N. Newman, Tobias Nielsen, Amy E. Newman and Jacob Verrett, his brother, Tommy Deshotel of Jennings, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Ella Mae Daigle Deshotel, his twin brother Jerry Lee Deshotel, sister, Juanita Trahan and grandson Cory Allen Deshotel.
