The family of Mrs. Sybil “Doodles” Tietje Allen, 93, of Elton announces her passing on July 27, 2023, in Rayne at The Ellington where she was currently residing.

Memorial Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Saturday, August 5, 2023, in the Elton United Methodist Church and continue until the time of the Memorial Service at 10 AM.  Fellowship will follow in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Allen was born on July 8, 1930, in Elton, La to Walter H. Tietje and Lessie Hart Tietje.  She completed a year of college and worked as an accountant for a fuel distribution facility.  She was a member of the Elton Methodist Church, and she enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

Those left to cherish her memory are a daughter, Roxanne Allen of Elton; son, Randy Allen and wife Kim of Elton; six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olner Blair Allen; her parents; sister, Betty Jane; and two brothers, Sonny, and Bobby.

The family has chosen cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
