Mrs. Ellen Sue Lepretre, 72, of Hathaway passed away on August 25, 2020 at 9:40 p.m. in her home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service for Mrs. Lepretre will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. 

Mrs. Lepretre was a graduate of Iota High School and attended McNeese University.  She moved to the Hathaway area in 1984 from Evangeline.  She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Raymond.

She loved to cook and bake for her family, friends, and neighbors, especially around the holidays.  She liked watching cooking shows and experimenting with new recipes.  She enjoyed going to the casino and playing Pokeno with her “Golden Girls”.  She enjoyed family gatherings and especially loved spending quality time with her four grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  Along with seeing all four of her grandchildren graduate this year, she also celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Lloyd Lepretre ; three daughters, Vicki (Todd) Broussard, Gwen (Hoy) Cooke, Heidi (Pat) Douget; sisters, Carol Gotreaux, Lila Davis, Janet Doga; brother, Harvey Doga; grandchildren, Madelyn Cooke, Jordan Broussard, Madison Broussard and Alexander Douget.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Napoleon and Elverda Deshotel Doga; her sister, Pamela Ardoin and her godchild Brian Gotreaux.
