Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Pugh Gravelle, 80, of Lafayette will be held Monday, November 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Horn officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 13 from 2:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will resume Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Gravelle died Friday, November 11, 2016 at her home in Lafayette.
Mrs. Gravelle was born in High Island, Texas to Rufus B. Pugh, Sr. and Mamie Radke. She lived most of her life in Jennings before moving to Lafayette in 1997.
Mrs. Gravelle enjoyed square dancing with her husband, a hobby they participated in for over 56 years. Everyone knew her as a personable lady who enjoyed being with people and who was unselfish with her time and talents. Children especially enjoyed Miss Sue and referred to her as the “Cookie Lady”.
Mrs. Gravelle leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Lem Gravelle, a son, Kent(Diane)Gravelle and two grandchildren, Austin and Cassidy Gravelle of Prairieville, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rufus B. Pugh, Sr. and Mamie Radke; two sisters, Betty Ann Stafford and Fern Heichelheim and one brother, R. B. Pugh, Jr.
