Sten Nels Olof Norwig, Jr.

Memorial services for Mr. Sten Nels Olof Norwig, Jr. 66, will be held at 6:00 p.m., today, Friday, March 20, 2009 in the Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Josh Milliron officiating. Mr. Norwigs body was cremated. Native of Shreveport, Mr. Norwig was a resident of Jennings 51 years. He was a Jennings High School graduate and received a Bachelors degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. He was a school teacher and Mr. Norwig was a long time member of the Jennings United Methodist Church and an active participate in the Chancel Choir. Mr. Norwig is survived by one sister, Martha Jane Ross of Canterbury, Connecticut, nephew Richard E. Ross of Canterbury, CT, nieces, Amanda Norwig and Elke Norwig-Eastaugh both of Houston, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents, Sten Nels Olof and Josephine Dennis Norwig, Sr. and one brother, James Edward Norwig. Donations may be made to the Jennings United Methodist Church, Jennings Carnegie Public Library or the American Heart Association.
