Ski Hope Smith

Ski Hope Smith, 12, of Lake Charles met her heavenly father on January 15, 2020. Ski was a resident of Lake Charles for the last five years where she was in the 6th grade at F. K. White Middle School. The staff and students remember her fondly as a typical and happy-go-lucky child who got along with everyone. She was kind to everyone and loved her mother, Marie and brother, Drake very much.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Ski is survived by her maternal grandparents, Douglas Paul Bourque of Lake Arthur and Annie Marie Johnson of Baytown, TX; two sisters, Raven Smith of Iota, Dylan Smith of Basile and a brother, Drake Gage Smith of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her father Clayton Bernard Smith. Her mother, Marie Ann Bourque later succumbed to her injuries sustained in the fire.

Services for Ski and her mother, Marie Bourque, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 at Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shamblin officiating. Burial will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020 and continue until service time at 2:00 p.m.
