Funeral services for Mr. SirDayland “Cat” Miller, 77, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in the Miguez Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. Tuesday until 9:00 p.m.; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.

Mr. Miller died Monday, July 8, 2019 in Encore of Crowley.

Mr. Miller was a native of Elton but lived most of his life in Hathaway.  He was a retired tool pusher in the oil industry for close to 40 years.  He loved to garden, he had a huge garden, loved mowing grass and doing outside work.  He raised animals and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Mark) Guinn of Mermentau, Michelle (Bret) Deshotel of Lafayette; one sister, Penny Martin of Lafayette; one brother, McNayland Miller of Lacassine; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Effie Smith Miller; and brother, Kennon Miller.

Pallbearers will be Justin Roberie, Caleb Guinn, Tanner Guinn, Hayden Guinn, Chandler Guinn and Elijah Guinn.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cary Deshotel, Elliot Guinn and Mason Guinn.
