Funeral services for Mr. Sidney Landry, 78, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.

Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Mr. Landry died at 8:19 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Jeff Davis Living Center in Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

A Cursillo Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Landry was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was owner of Stewart & Landry Construction Company,Inc. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He also was the assistant Scout Master for Troup 68, and a member of the Good Sams Camping Club.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Hayes Landry of Jennings; one daughter, Karen LeJeune and husband Marcus of Iota; two sons, Edward Landry and wife Jackie of Welsh, Sidney Paul Landry and wife Marla of Jennings; a son in Law Arne Simon of Kaplan; two sisters, Alita Stewart of Jennings, Lorice LeGros of Andrus Cove; one brother, Louis Landry of Evangeline; 16 grandchildren, Hannah, Evan and Samantha Landry, Boyd Wright, Lauren and Corey Landry, Amanda, Blaise and Kendrick LeJeune, Todd, Elysse, Kayla, Emily, Katie and Austin Simon; and three great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Azelie Simon Landry; a daughter, June Simon and one grandchild, Claire LeJeune.
