Shawn Keith Johnson, 53, passed away December 23, 2021, in the Jennings American Legion Hospital surrounded by his family.

Shawn was born on January 22, 1968, in Welsh, LA to Lawrence and Marie Jeanette Richard Johnson. He worked as a diesel mechanic. He loved music, playing the guitar, and tinkering with everything. But most importantly he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Meagan (Trevor) Gatte of Jennings; son, Mason Johnson of Roswell, New Mexico; sister, Tina (Jeffery) Perry of Welsh; brother, Lane Johnson of Welsh; and three grandchildren, Madeline and Olivia Gatte, and Kason Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roanoke Baptist Church with Bro. Darrell Hieronymus officiating. Memorial visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
