Sally Chapman

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Ellender Chapman, 82, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2009 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Friday; and 8:00 a.m., Saturday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. today, Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Chapman died at 12:09 a.m., January 9, 2009 at her home in Lake Arthur. Mrs. Chapman was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a homemaker. She was a graduate of the Lake Arthur High School Class of 1942. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, VFW Ladies Auxillary and the Extension Homemakers Club. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Chapman Oustalet and husband Ricahrd of Jennings and Rebecca J. Chapman of Lake Arthur; two sons, Edward Dan Chapman and wife Kim of Sulphur and Ben Ellender Chapman and wife Monica of Lake Arthur; one sister, Mildred Ellender Lyons of Lake Charles, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin E. and Alma Deshotels Ellender, her husband, Edward Clare Bill Chapman; one sister Norma Jean Snookie Mayo; two brothers, Tom and Sam Ellender.
