JENNINGS Mrs. Sally Ann Bertrand Britt, 74 passed away in her sleep at her residence and went home to be with the LORD on Thursday, April 18, 2013. Mrs. Britt was a native of Crowley, a graduate of Crowley High School (Class of 1957), and later a resident of Jennings for 56 years. Funeral services for Mrs. Sally Brit will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Walker of Liberty Baptist Church officiating. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Mrs. Britt was a loyal member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved the LORD and served Him faithfully for many years as a Sunday School Teacher. She loved singing about the LORD with her Sunday school kids in Church. Her devotion to God serves as a comfort to her family, knowing that she is safe and happy with Him in Heaven. I Am Now In Heaven I am now in Heaven ” please wipe away your tears! Ive fought the battle, run the race ” Im rid of all my fears. There is no pain or sorrow here; the heartaches now are past; Ive read and sung of Heaven, and now Im here at last! Safe in the Arms of Jesus She will be terribly missed by her children, grand and great- grandchildren, not to mention the numerous adopted families that she loved so dear. Mrs. Sally lived each day to the fullest to love and care for her family. Her presence in all of their lives will never be forgotten. Grannery as she was affectionately known, will truly live on in their hearts always. A special thanks is extended by the Britt Family to Dr. Katira of Crowley and the Cardiac Rehab Facility in the Jennings American Legion Hospital for the extraordinary care given to their mother. Mrs. Sally Britt is survived by her beloved husband, Clarence Bill Britt of 55 years; her three daughters, Terri Britt of Lafayette; Kelly Joni Layman and husband Stan Layman of Mt. Gretna, PA, Marjorie Morvant and husband Charles Morvant of Jennings; one son, William Billy Britt of Jennings; one sister, Karen Mire of Crowley; nine grandchildren, Kelly Layman, Lauren Layman, Taylor Layman, Kristy Kennedy, Mindy Kennedy, Dilon Britt, Marco Velasquez, Adam Morvant, Elizabeth Morvant and six great-grandchildrn, Mya Velasquez, Terry Hickman, Draven Welch, Dilia Morvant, Mackenzie Leopold and Jaydn Morvant. Mrs. Britt is preceded in death by her parents; Lenez John and Thelma Elois Cohorn Bertrand as well as one sister, Claudia Deanie Benoit. Pallbearers to escort Mrs. Britt to her resting place are Scooter Britt of Jennings, Charlie Britt of Jennings, Stan Layman of Mt. Gretna, PA, Taylor Layman of Mt. Gretna, PA, Charles Morvant of Jennings, Don Williams of Youngsville and Honorary Pallbearer Marco Velasquez of Jennings.
