Rye Dartez

JENNINGS Memorial services for Mr. Rye Lynn Dartez, 48, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Brother Nathan Mooneyham officiating. Burial will be in the Doucet Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of services Thursday. Mr. Dartez died at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at his residence in Jennings. Mr. Dartez was a lifelong resident of Jennings and high school graduate. He worked as a production operator in the oil industry. He was a softball coach, member of the Band Boosters, helped with the school activities for his children. He was very involved in his children’s lives. He was a devoted game player and loved to garden. Survivors include two daughters, Hannah and Rylie Dartez both of Jennings; two sons, Christopher (Jamie) Dartez of Lake Arthur and Paul Dartez of San Angelo, TX; his father, Lloyd Dartez of Jennings; one brother, Steve (Melissa) Dartez of Jennings; two grandchildren, Triniti Dartez and Aiden Dartez and his devoted companion Melissa Ardoin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan Paige Dartez and his mother Wilma Jane Lopez.
