Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Rufus Barnett Pugh, Jr. 84 will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Visitation hours on Friday August 16, 2013 will be from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation on Saturday will be from 8 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Pugh died August 14, 2013 at 7:10 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Pugh was a native of Beaumont, TX and a lifelong resident of Jennings, LA. He was a retired accountant and a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. He loved football, liked to travel and see the country, loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Patricia Taylor Pugh of Jennings, two daughters; Cynthia (Henry) Sonnier and Sherrie Pugh both of Lake Charles, LA, a son; Rick (Marci) Pugh of Aurora, CO, two sisters; Ann (Jessie) Stafford and Sue (Lem) Gravelle both of Lafayette, LA, a brother-in-law; Warren Taylor, eight grandchildren; Matthew (Marcy) Sonnier, Gregory (Roxanne) Sonnier, Roxan (John) Soliz, Hester (Aaron) Canfield, Douglas (April) Human, Zinda Viator, Casey (Jason) Speciner and Chris Zayc and eight great-grandchildren; Madison, Madalyn, Gavin, Caleb, Alissa, Jayden, Gabby and Shiloh. Mr. Pugh was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Barnett, Sr. and Mamie Lee Radke Pugh and a sister, Fern Heichelheim
