Ruby Johnson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ms. Ruby Perry Johnson, 83, on September 2, 2024.

Visitation for Ms. Ruby will be held on Friday September 6, 2024, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the chapel at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Roy Platte officiating.

She will be laid to rest in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Ruby was born on July 11, 1941, in Lafayette, LA, to Charles Perry and Annie Kibodeaux Perry. She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ruby lived her life as a homemaker, taking care of her family, in which she loved and cherished. She will be greatly missed, and we will always cherish her memories.

Left to cherish those memories are her daughter, Rhonda (Richard) McNabb; sons, John (Connie) Johnson, Jr., Mike Johson, and Kevin (Katina) Johnson; sister, Betty Viator; brothers, Kenneth Perry and Dale Perry; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Donna Johnson; a son, Nicholas Johnson; a sister, Mary Breaux; brothers, Bobby Perry, Jeff Perry and Kelly Perry.
