Roy Allen Racca

Roy Allen Racca, 80, passed away on October 12, 2008. He retired as an accountant from Baylor University in Houston, Texas, and returned to Jennings to be near family. He served in World War II and in the Korean War. Roy was the eighth child born to Marcel and Donatile Racca. He is survived by two siblings: Ray Adam (Martha) Racca, Margie Racca Morrish, one sister-in-law: Rita Racca and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel and Donatile Racca, his siblings: Frances Pretz, Florence Richert, Lou Wilkinson, Clayton Racca, Howard Racca, Hulen Racca and Richard Racca. A family Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Ed McNally officiating. Roy just celebrated 50 years as a member of AA and expressed his wishes to the family that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alcoholics Anonymous in his memory. No flowers will be accepted.
