Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mr. Rowan E. “Gene” Green, Jr., 84 will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Pastor Gary Koopman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Mr. Green died Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 8:05 A.M. in the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home. Funeral home visitation hours on Monday, November 16, 2015 will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will continue Tuesday morning from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. Mr. Green is a native of Columbus, Texas and resided in Lake Arthur for the past 57 years. He is an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He is survived by two sons; Rip Green and spouse Gina of Lake Arthur, LA, Michael Green and spouse Roxanne of Georgetown, TX, a brother; James Green of Fredericksburg, TX, 3 grandchildren; Michael Green, Jr., Kyle Green and Rowan (DJ) Green, IV, two great grandchildren; Kally and Andy Green. He is preceded in death by his parents; Rowan and Clara Litzmann Green and his wife Margie Whitman Green.
