Ronnie Roy Sonnier

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Ronnie Roy Sonnier, 45, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. John Wamsley officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m., Wednesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 8:00 p.m.., today, Tuesday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Sonnier died at 4:00 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Sonnier was a lifelong resident of Jennings, a graduate of Jennings High School class of 1983 and was a carpenter. Survivors include his wife, Renell Bertrand Sonnier of Jennings; one son, Ronnie Sonnier, Jr. of Jennings, one daughter, Keisha Dawn Richard and husband Kyle of Welsh; his father, Russell Lee Sonnier and wife Maria of Jennings; six brothers, Russell Sonnier and wife Mary Jude of St. Martinville, Byron Sonnier and wife Mary Ann of Dallas, GA, John Sonnier and wife Connie of Jennings, Troy Sonnier and wife Shelley of Welsh; Kevin Seagraves and wife Janet of Jennings, Kip Seagraves of Iota; three sisters, Cynthia Daigre and husband Joey of Elton, Rene Trauth and husband Anthony of Jennings, Kara Whitehouse and husband Darrell of Sheffield, AL; and one granddaughter, Arlene Jane Richard. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy and step-mother Joella. Pallbearers will be Russell Sonnier, Jr., Ronnie Sonnier, Jr., Byron Sonnier, Troy Sonnier, Kevin Seagraves and Russell Crider. Honorary pallbearers will be Kip Seagraves and Wendell Bourque.
