Robert "Pops" Klein

Funeral services for Mr. Robert “Pops” Klein, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Jace Eskind and  Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Mr. Klein died at 10:24 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Klein was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a retired production operator in the oil industry.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He was a hunting guide for over 50 years and enjoyed spending time on facebook keeping up with family and old friends.  He loved his family, friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the apples of his eye.

Survivors include his son, Kevin C. (Fran) Klein of Evangeline; three sisters, Shirley (Wilfred) Broussard of Gueydan, Dorothy (Irvin) Broussard of Lake Charles, Elaine (Michael) Lounsberry of Gueydan; two brothers, “Pete” Klein of Bridge City, TX, Donald (Lollie) Klein of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Kyle (Meghan) Klein, Robbie (Alexis) Klein of Lake Arthur and Nick (Sadie) Klein of Roanoke; Taylor and Kaitlin Hebert of Evangeline; his  great-grandchildren, Mia, Case, Londyn, Quinn and Khye and special friend Wilda Trahan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lenia Bertrand Klein; his wife, Greta Faye Broussard Klein; two sisters, Betty LaPoint and Henrietta Klein; and two brothers, George “Jim” Klein and Francis Klein, Sr.
