Funeral services for Mr. Robert John Broussard, 87, will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Father Jay Alexius officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 4:00 PM and continuing until 8:00 PM.  A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

Mr. Broussard was born on April 8, 1935, in Gueydan, LA to George and Cora Hungerford Broussard.  Mr. Broussard was a great man, husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He was kind and always offering to help others.  He could do anything.  He first started his life as a rice farmer and then did everything from welding, carpentry, working in the shipyards, to finally owning and operating his own dump truck.  He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 70 years, Bonnie Savoie Broussard; one daughter Melissa (Mark Wiesehan) Broussard; five sisters Clara Touchet, Bernadine Elkins, Emily McGee Laverne Scott, and Lula LeBlanc; one brother, Tracy Broussard; and three grandchildren, Caleb Rangel, Adessa Wiesehan and Seth Wiesehan.

Mr. Broussard is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Broussard.
