Robert "Bobby" Gary

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Robert L. (Bobby) Gary, 76, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Gary died at 4:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his residence. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary led by Mike Matt will be recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Gary was lifelong resident of Jennings and a graduate of Jennings High School class of 1956; he attended SLI, now University of Louisiana at Lafayette; attended Wesson Junior College, was a member of the Adoration Chapel at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was retired owner of Gary Construction. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and member of the Grand Marais Mardi Gras Krew. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Sonnier Gary of Jennings; three daughters, Roxanna Looney and husband Phillip of Jennings, Sharon LeBlanc and husband Gary of Welsh, Donna Thibodeaux and husband Earl of Jennings; four sons, Dwain Gary and wife Brenda of Lake Arthur, Darren Gary and wife Gwen of Roanoke, Brian Gary and friend Brenda of Moss Bluff, Mark Gary and wife Tiffany of Denham Springs; two sisters, Jeanette Briggs and husband Mark of Jennings, JoAnna Parsley and husband Kelly of Jennings; sister-in-law, Peggy Gary of Lake Charles; two brothers, Fred Gary and wife Peggy of Moss Bluff, Michael Gary of Jennings; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Loris Fruge Gary; one sister, Della Ruth Person and one brother, Charles Edward Gary. Pallbearers will be Fred, Michael, Darren, Dwain and Mark Gary and Blake Broussard. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Gary, Jay Seagraves, Logan LeBlanc, Michael LeBlanc, Taylor Weekley and Damien Chaisson.
