Funeral services for Mrs. Rita Mae LeBlanc LeJeune, 81, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating.
Burial will be in the Estherwood Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Funeral home visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday; and will resume at 8:00 a.m. today, Tuesday until time of services.
A rosary led by Wayne Bergeaux was recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel.
Mrs. LeJeune died at 7:03 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 in her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. LeJeune was born in Morse and was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a homemaker. She loved going to the Casino, loved her children, and was a wonderful wife. She loved to cook and spend time with her family and friends. She owned Rita’s Snow Cone Stand. She loved everyone that she met.
Survivors include seven daughters, Velina Mire and husband Calvin of Jennings, Wanda Burlet and husband Mike of DeQuincy, Debbie Richard and husband Johnny of Mermentau, Lorita Sonnier and Rebecca Hebert of Jennings, Ramona Benoit and husband Alan of Pineville, Cynthia Cormier of Jennings; three sons, Mason LeJeune and wife Debbie, Jason LeJeune and wife Annette both of Roanoke, Ray LeJeune and wife Marlene of Mermentau and Carlton Clement from Jennings,who is a special friend of the family that Mrs. Rita looked to as a son; one brother, Mason LeBlanc and wife Donna of Midland; 29 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. LeJeune is preceded in death by her husband Raymond LeJeune, Jr. and her parents, Marcellin LeBlanc and Exia Trahan Primeaux and
